Been working on this one for the past while, it was a lot of fun to paint and is considerably more complex then nearly anything I've done previously. It'll be in a Wickham St group show called Ludic/Ludo/Ludos opening on Thursday at Occupy Space. See ya there :)

zoomzoom


finished this new painting last week, definately feels like a new direction for me. the work is constantly taking new twists and turns as i go on and this is always a very exciting process. the problem i always seem to have is tracking the source of each new development, as a lot of it seems to happen rather intuitively. this is something ive been working on for years and am slowly getting better at. where some painters work develops along a distinctive line of thought, mine often seems to be more zig-zagging around or all-encompassing in a bizarre post post modern sense.
